Fall 2020

Dear Sisters,

It seems in many ways 2020 will stand to be an incredibly memorable year as our daily norms and routines have been endlessly challenged. I hope even through the uncertainty you have been able to have an enjoyable, relaxing summer. Through all of the changes that have occurred and are still occurring, please know Tri Delta, and specifically, Tri Delta Cleveland Alumnae Chapter will always be here for you.

Thank you to those who completed our activity survey we released in the August newsletter. Your feedback and ideas for how we may potentially structure our activities for the remainder of 2020 we found to be very informative. Our overall takeaways were that variety in all forms for gatherings is much appreciated and that ultimately, it is sisterhood which motivates us to attend events. We have taken your feedback, and are planning for ways we can come together in some circumstances and will also be planning virtual activities that attempt to engage and meet different interests.  Given your responses, we have decided to hold our Fall Kick-Off in-person at Rivergate Park on Tuesday, September 15th. The park lends itself to ample space with picnic tables for social distancing along with nice views of the river. We hope to see you there and more details to come!

We are stronger because of you and your involvement. Our chapter is unique in that we all come from different backgrounds, but will always have the connection of being a Tri Delta. I still remember moving to Cleveland three years ago and attending my first meeting which happened to be the Fall Kick-Off. Having only communicated with one member prior to it was certainly daunting, but how incredibly thankful I am now that I stepped out of my comfort zone and attended that meeting in September 2017. Since then I have met the most amazing individuals and it is because of our group I now am able to call Cleveland home. I truly hope you find, like I have, that our chapter will always offer you friendship, a home away from home, and a common bond no matter where you are from. Thank you for all that you do and look forward to the new opportunities we create for sisterhood.

Loyally,

Lauren Allyn, Clemson
