Fall 2019

Dear Sister,

This “back to school season” I’m thinking of my own  CONNECTION —  to school campuses, collegiate sisters,  alumnae sisters, mentors, a 131-year Tri Delta history, our  beloved symbols, ideals, and a shared Purpose.  I could not  imagine the gifts that Tri Delta would bring to my life when I was a college freshman.  As an alumna, “my Tri Delta sisters” grew beyond college ties, making a new place feel like home.  Sisters welcomed my good news, or cared about my struggles, and always left me eager for more time to create new  memories.  I am humbled and grateful for the bonds of  connection with Tri Delta.

Connection is what leads our alumnae chapter to step forward in brave and bold ways, while also honoring timeless  traditions.  Our goal is to have one strong, unified Tri Delta alumnae chapter in the Cleveland area.  With excitement, our membership will have an opportunity to vote to adopt a new name in September, to officially become the Tri Delta Cleveland Alumnae Chapter (removing the “East Side” or “West Side”  references).  We’ll also adopt new technology for our monthly  e-newsletter, encourage networking through the new app,  CONNECTDDD, and plan new activities.

With Tri Delta’s renewed dedication to the alumna member  experience, we’ll continue to provide traditional celebrations,  philanthropy, professional development, social gatherings, and sisterhood.  Sustaining our legacy of giving, we will boldly  invest in our relationships with MetroHealth, Tri Delta Foundation, and St. Jude.  We continue to applaud Tri Delta Bridge-ARama™; we aim to grow Mad For Metro™; and we strive to strengthen our own connections with each other.  And don’t forget  – there are raffle prizes awarded at most events!

We are connected to make Tri Delta stronger in Cleveland, and we need you!  Our current alumnae chapter officers and  chairs continue to generously give their leadership.  In  preparation for officer slating in April 2020 (and Convention 2020), I ask that you please consider how you can contribute to our sisterhood — what are your interests, what talents do you possess — to strengthen Tri Delta?  There is a role for you in our alumnae chapter.  Change is healthy, but sometimes bumpy, too.  If you have suggestions or concerns, we are here for you.  Together, our connection enables us to live into Tri Delta’s  Purpose.

#BringYou  #BraveBoldKind  #WeAreTriDelta
